Onward!
I looked up Thursday evening and saw a beautiful full moon! And what a chilly night for such a moon to shine! The temperature hit record lows for the New York Metropolitan area. It was one of those Autumn days that foreshadows winter.
As November is traditionally a winter month, the kigo Winter Moon (fuyu no tsuki) feels right. So let’s go traditional this week, haijin. Write the haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga, etc.) that alludes to the winter moon (fuyu no tsuki).
