You skated across the thin ice to safety, haijin! Congratulations to last week’s contributors:
Haikai Challenge ParticipantsPowered by… Mister Linky’s Magical Widgets.
Looking ahead:
Mad march arrives in style! An overnight snowfall greeted my commute midweek. Another blanketed the New York area last night and into this morning. The forecast calls for more this coming Sunday-into-Monday.
The winter that entered like a lamb leaves like a lion!
Even as New Orleans prepares for Mardi Gras, and the Christian Churches throughout the world ready for Ash Wednesday the next day, more snow arrives.
Viva, March Madness!
How fitting, then, that we continue our traditional spring kigo this week with awayuki–light snow. This week, write the haikai poem of your choice that states, references or alludes to light snow (awayuki).
As always:
Here’s how the challenge works:
1. write the haikai poem of your choice.
2. post the link of your post to Mister Linky.
3. pingback by posting the link to the challenge on your site.
4. read and comment on other contributors’ posts.
Keep the salt and shovels handy, haijin!
