O! that you were your self; but, love you are
No longer yours, than you your self here live:
moonlight
rippling on a pond
the way we go
I ceased to be myself when I loved you. I become someone more, as did you. Together, let our intertwined hands hold fast as long as they can!
night breeze
fluttering
of last Autumn’s leaves
How heavy do I journey on the way,
When what I seek, my weary travel’s end,
deep night
unrelenting
insomnia
What can I hold on to that doesn’t slip away? Who are you, some days? Who am I?
softening sky
a lone song bird
before dawn
What is your substance, whereof are you made,
That millions of strange shadows on you tend?
morning twilight
how the mists move
across the grass
Our love can’t end our struggle, much as we wish it could. All we can hope is that together, we bear it with better grace.
brightening purple
more birdsongs
from the yard
Love is too young to know what conscience is,
Yet who knows not conscience is born of love?
breaking dawn
the glistening
of morning dew
Let us stand our ground! Let us move in the moment together! Is not together all we have, for now?
sunlight
rippling on a pond
the way we go
