A Walk at Nyack Beach: An .@ImageCurve #haibun

Haibun Poems, beach

The Hudson surges against the black boulders of the Nyack Beach shoreline. A woosh of water on stone is a chant in rhythm to the river’s tide.

Frankie bikes around a bend in the dirt-and-granular track. We follow on foot, content to be left behind for a time.

I like the dark shapes, the black boulders of the Nyack Beach shoreline and the wide shadow of Hook Mountain, and the sounds, the ‘woosh of water on stone’ and the ‘wind caressing waves’ – your haibun has transported me, Frank!

That chant seems beautiful against this backdrop — I like how you picture the scene in this comfortable space. A lovely, lovely haiku to complement the prose! 🙂

Nice short haibun, Frank. I am always amazed how the east coast folk call their hills as mountains. Make a mountain out of a molehill.

LOL, Jim! If their elevations top 1000 feet, we call them mountains. 🙂 Thanks for the read!
