#Haikai Challenge #101 (8/24/19): autumn rain (aki no ame) #haiku #senryu #haibun #tanka #haiga #renga

I hope you enjoyed the River of Heaven, haijin! Congratulations to last week’s contributors: (I will post two weeks worth of contributors next week.)

Ultreya!

The first storm came Thursday afternoon. Frank and I barely cleared the deck, our laptops in hand, before the deluge. The next one came later that evening, as we attended his boy scout troops Court of Honor under a pavillion. Lightening and thunder accompanied this one. The next morning, a steady rain began shortly after six.

Seems like a good time for a rain kigo.

This week, write the haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga, etc.) that states or alludes to Autumn rain (aki no ame).

As always:

Here’s how the challenge works:

1. write the haikai poem of your choice.
2. post the link of your post to Mister Linky.
3. pingback by posting the link to the challenge on your site.
4. read and comment on other contributors’ posts.

Feel the rain on your skin, haijin–but dry off soon after! 🙂
