A Spring Respite: a #tankaprose

The Bride in profile at Pine Meadow Lake, Harriman State Park

Sunlight blinks from the rippling surface of Pine Meadow Lake like a swarm of fireflies. A gentle spring wind off the lake sends a subtle chill up our spine. I sit burmese style and stare at the rippling water in the shade. A two-hour hike out of Kakiat Park brought us to this novel shore. It’s like visiting the lake I’ve hiked to for almost forty years for the first time.

A nice one Frank. I could feel it. Sounds like a good place for a hike.
