Looking ahead:
May! The time of flowers (in the Northern Hemisphere, at least), the beginning of summer by the Traditional reckoning, a Marion month according to the Roman Catholic Church, #NaTankaMo: the fifth month of the year has a lot going on!
Including the last Super Moon of 2020:
When the full Moon appears this month, it will be ever-so-slightly farther away than it was in April and March. Mayโs full Moon still qualifies as a supermoon, but it wonโt be as bright or as big as the others in the series, technically speaking. However, the difference in distance between its orbit and Aprilโsโabout 2500 milesโis not much in the grand scale of space, so you will still see a bright, beautiful supermoon!
This week, write the haikai of your choice (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga, etc.) that alludes to the Flower moon (full moon, super moon, etc.)
As always:
Hereโs how the challenge works:
1. write the haikai poem of your choice.
2. post the link of your post to Mister Linky.
3. pingback by posting the link to the challenge on your site.
4. read and comment on other contributorsโ posts.
Happy moon-gazing, Haijin!
