Onward!

As promised, I’m back with another trifecta of challenges! Hopefully, moving forward, I can regularly post on either Saturday or Sunday, as in the past. With Frank finally an Eagle, and life beginning to settle (for the moment), this may happen! ๐Ÿ˜†

I find myself again on the cusp of traditional season v. lived experience. While March is technically the “middle” month of spring by Lunar reckoning, it’s still winter (at least in the Northern Hemisphere). Now, we have had some warmer days. The glaciers on my front and back yards have receded. I even see bare soil out back! But cold winds bite bare flesh still, and although warmer days are forecast, who knows when the next cold spell arrives?

Nonetheless, I’ll gamble on Spring. March is a mad month, anyway. Therefore, let me offer you the following Kigo for each day of this week’s Spring Trinity Challenge

DateKigo
2/20remaining snow (zansetsu)
2/27Snow moon (Yuki no tsuki)
3/6waters warming (mizu nurumu)

Write the haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga, etc.) that allude to any of these kigo .

As always:

Hereโ€™s how the challenge works:

1. write the haikai poem of your choice.
2. post the link of your post to Mister Linky.
3. pingback by posting the link to the challenge on your site.
4. read and comment on other contributorsโ€™ posts.

Happy (sort of) Spring , haijin!

Hi. Thank you for the challenge opportunity. I had a very inspiring moment with the February snow moon this year. A wonder since there isn’t always a full moon in February at all. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my piece. ๐Ÿ™‚

I combined your three prompts with two other wordle lists here: Incalculable Risks

We have had too many issues with our current ‘dishwasher’ – But hopefully it will be running by the end of the day. I found unused parts on the kitchen counter… which has lead to having to take the whole thing out from under the counter and make a further adjustment to the new spare parts. Good to have a handy hubby.
