Onward!
A searing heatwave has gripped my corner of the Earth since the weekend. After the threat of an afternoon thunderstorm, more heat remains. The forecast calls for the wave to continue tomorrow. Happy-happy! Joy-joy!
What I wouldn’t give for a delightful sip of some fresh, cold spring water!
This week, write the haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga) that alludes to clear [spring-] water (shimizu).
As always:
Here’s how the challenge works:
1. write the haikai poem of your choice.
2. post the link of your post to Mister Linky.
3. pingback by posting the link to the challenge on your site.
4. read and comment on other contributors’ posts.
Stay refreshed, haijin!

It’s like a sauna here too, Frank. We got a few sprinkles earlier but not nearly enough.

I am melting where I am in the world as well. It doesn’t help that I am doing a lot of driving in a car without working air conditioning. 😛 Clear springs sound nice.

We have a mix of warm sunny days with afternoon thunderstorms. The hot and muggy days are starting to set in. We’ve been lucky so far.
