Could it be any different?
emerging night
stretching through the last
light of day
twisted intestines
unknotting after this day
recuperating
these temperature shifts
taking their toll
gentle trembling
as this body gets on track
this silence
It could be only what it is.

Frank you bring to mind that Dave Matthews Band song, “Dancing Nancies.” You’re right,
“It could be only what it is.”

The eternal rhythm. It is what it is, as my son says in reply to almost everything.

“It could be only what it is.” So true. I suppose it’s up to us what we make of it.
Those twisted intestines got to me! I’m happy that it was followed by recuperating.

My kids always told me, “It is, what it is.” Bravo Frank. Nice to see you again.
