pumpkin spice

still these leaves refuse

an Autumn slice

a steady descent

with pumpkin spice

filling cups

amid scurrying mice

on a bright breezy day

Nothing nice

about autumn denied, save

pumpkin spice

    Pumpkin spice for me is so similar to gingerbread spice which for me is winter and Christmas… i love the short form of the fold (two haiku and a tanka?)
