“It’s beginning to look…”

The Hacienda calls for a different variety. Can’t haul a Frasier up the steps without a cascade of needles for the Landlord to complain about. & the sauna-adjacent heat would dry such a tree out before Christmas.

Clearly, an artificial is in order.

Mira always wanted one that looked frosted. When she found it, she didn’t hesitate. Now, even before Thanksgiving, our new, 7.5-foot-tall Christmas tree awaits the inauguration of the ’23 Holiday season.

Even though its artificial, it looks beautiful. Well, here’s wishing you a merry Christmas well in advance. It’s such a beautiful time of the year and your haibun captures that so well.

We dragged our Christmas decorations from the ceiling/ loft this morning. OMG! after 42 Christmases, it’s time to thin them out. Sent one load of to the thrift shop. Our Christmas tree is a puny blue expandable tree this year that just…hangs. LOL! Your tree is beautiful. Makes me feel cooler too.

Beautiful tree, and a lovely poem to accompany it. I say always yes to festivities and decorations before their “time”, the only thing I mind is the complete musical change that seems to happen even now mid November.

It looks quite beautiful. Love the two lines “a week before turkey, hearing the bells”
This made me smile. Since we leave Jan 4 for 2 months in San Diego to escape the cold of Boston, and I like to have my tree up for 2 months, ours went up November 6th! I do however, still have my autumn/Thanksgivingish wreath on the outside of our door. But once you open the door, you’re in the land of Christmas!

That is a gorgeous tree. I am sure you will have fun decorating for the holidays. I don’t put one up until about 2-3 weeks before xmas day.

It looks nice, but for me it is way too early for a tree inside.
