Moving on.
The temperature reached 60 degrees F one day last week. Then the next to went down to the 30s—as one would expect for February. Rain fell all day today.
Any trace of snow quietly disappeared.
As we approach the threshold of the Traditional mid-spring, we can see signs of that warming season approach. Daylight lengthens. Warmer days arrive with greater frequency. More rain than snow falls.
Spring will soon spring.
This week, write the haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, tanka, kyoka, haibun, haiga, renga, etc.) that alludes to melt off (yukishiro).
As always:
1. write the haikai poem of your choice.
2. post the link of your post to Mister Linky.
3. pingback by posting the link to the challenge on your site.
4. read and comment on other contributors’ posts.
Cherish the coming meltoff, haijin!
