Ultreya!
The official beginning of Spring arrives in the Northern Hemisphere this Tuesday, March 19th! At last, the Gregorian Calendar will align with the lunar—and the current weather! This past week has boasted of spring temperatures, and the next one promises the same.
The day also marks the continual lengthening of days that we’ve seen since the Winter Solstice. This means longer days than nights for the first time since the Summer Solstice!
This week, write the haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, tanka, kyoka, haibun, haiga, renga, etc.) that alludes to the Spring Equinox (higan).
As always:
1. write the haikai poem of your choice.
2. post the link of your post to Mister Linky.
3. pingback by posting the link to the challenge on your site.
4. read and comment on other contributors’ posts.
Happy Spring, haijin!
