A Curious Rain

All it takes is a glimpse. A rain of English gentlemen, and I hear the Dr. Who theme que up.

Is it the titular character himself, in yet another incarnation, infinitely mutiplied by some TARDIS-esque machination? It is a novel invasion by another of the Doctor’s legion of enemies?

Or is it simply the banality of Bourgeoisie falling on the fruit of their distinctive labor?

You had me laughing “a rain of English gentlemen” I don’t know why but it’s so funny.
I have never seen Dr. Who.😢

I’ve been watching Doctor Who since it first came out, when I was seven years old, and I enjoyed your haibun. The men in bowler hats also reminded me of Steed in The Avengers.

The Avengers was as surrealist as Magritte sometimes.

I suppose so. I don’t remember much, except Diana Rigg was so cool, and Steed was kind of dapper with his hat and umbrella.

Wouldn’t it be cool with a few Mrs Peel in the painting as well?

I don’t watch Dr. Who, but I know the theme music, and it’s going through my head now! 😂
