Looking ahead:
Today is April first, the first day of National Poetry Month! Many of us will participate in National Poetry Writing Month, or NaPoWriMo, writing a poem a day for the month.
In honor of this celebration of poetry, let’s join in by writing some haikai poetry of our own. Need some inspiration? If you like, you can write using one of the following lenses:
- Worm moon
- Cherry Blossoms
- Easter
Of course, these are optional.
This week, write the haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, tanka, kyoka, haibun, haiga, renga, etc.) that alludes to poetry (uta).
As always:
1. write the haikai poem of your choice.
2. post the link of your post to Mister Linky.
3. pingback by posting the link to the challenge on your site.
4. read and comment on other contributors’ posts.
Savor the poetry this April, haijin!
