Willowing through Wars

bowing

grateful to my seat

and the world

bending under

this world’s heartbreak

bullets

killing 1,000+

one October day

bombs killing

over 40,000 since

bending beneath Russian rockets

striking Ukrainian cities

Ever bowing

ever bending, to be even

one light left in the dark

I like to think the bending and the bowing is in prayer. Frank, I appreciate the raw feeling in your poem.
