Close of New Year’s Day

New Year ย ย  still the soft glow ย  ย  of Christmas lights

Neil Diamond’s voice fills the living room. Mira and Frankie lie sprawled on a couch and chair-ottoman, facing their screens. Our Last vacation day, before we leap into action!

uncried tears ย ย  this January ย  ย  full moon

That same soft glow shines on this special moment in time. The image is perfect.

I can see that same moon outside. Enjoy it before the world comes rushing back in. Happy new year!!!

A subtle contrast of past and present….you’ve painted a vivid picture of the edge of a new year.

I like how you mix the visible with the emotion here. All the best for the leap back into action and happy New Year!

It was too cloudy for moon here, but I love that glow inside.

I liked the reference to “uncried tears”. The full moon seemed to stand out for me in the sky as well.

Saying goodbye isn’t easy. I could’ve gardened in the light of the full moon here last night if I wanted to.

Uncried tears seem impossible. The dam will eventually let loose. Maybe that’s the right leap into action.

The letting go of the old and new moments of time gather ing in the new is indeed a time of grace.

Thanks, Jilly! I couldn’t resist that shot when I opened my front door and “saw her standing there!”

I felt like I was setting there on the couch with your family looking out the window at the full moon!
