Onward!
It’s still January! We’re just settling into this new year. That means it’s the perfect time for another New Year Kigo! And the raven (or crow) is on my mind! Consider Odin’s ravens, who witness the world and bring him its news. Or the ravens that fed the prophet Elijah during his flight across the desert. Not to mention the many trickster tales from Native American traditions.
So this week, write the haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga) that states or references the first raven or crow cry (hatsugarasu).
As always:
Hereโs how the challenge works:
1. write the haikai poem of your choice.
2. post the link of your post to Mister Linky.
3. pingback by posting the link to the challenge on your site.
4. read and comment on other contributorsโ posts.
Enjoy the cry of raven or crow this week, haijin. Good Hunting!
