Technical Difficulties: a #writephoto #haibun

I had a lead on today’s assignment grading, until Frank brought me his replacement phone. “It’s not activating,” he said.

The cascade soon followed. Verizon’s website offered no workable options. Customer service proved an overlong wait–interrupted when my doctor’s office finally returned my call. A virtual trouble-shooter ran every protocol without providing a solution.

I finally asked him the obvious question. “Did the package come with any literature?”

He brought down the flyer, which, of course, he hadn’t read. There was a website for replacement phone activation. After almost an hour of fruitless searching, his phone fully activated in less than five minutes.

Oh, for the simple life

I tend to skip that literature as well which I sometimes end up regretting usually when I am putting some furniture together. I like those Moorish mists at the end.

How often have I searched through the litter bin for that ‘unnecessary’ literature? !!

    Here’s mine!

Iโ€™m with you! I may have been to the very place shown in the photo. During a student exchange in 1992, our cohort took a trip to the moors in Bronte Country. I remember seeing a ravine like the one in the photo.

This was taken in Yorkshire…not quite Bronte country, but not all that far from Haworth.
