Hello, new friend.
I did not know you long. Not like my beloved Maple Tree, whose shade protected my deck during the searing summer months. Technically, you’re not even my tree, as you stand on my neighbor’s front yard.
But your luscious cherry blossoms brightened these last two Springs. Sure, you bloomed late this year, but I’m sure you had your reasons.
Your magnificient blossoms more than made up for your tardiness.
Although we only shared two years together, I will miss you when we’re gone.
