Watercourse Wayfaring: a #Quadrille #haibun

Photo by Anton Atanasov on Pexels.com

A kayak on a placid river.

A leaf afloat on a babbling brook.

A rock smoothed over years by a rushing stream.

A twig carried away in a creek.

Let running water have its course.

It will anyway.

Was that to be a “placid” river? You are the master of brevity, Frank, a ton of meaning in a soup can.

It will have its way, how true. I’ve always been fascinated with weathered stones in a creek bed.. I often took one home and painted a message on it.
